VI Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (22-28 novembre)

Tradition and prospects of Italian cuisine: understanding and optimising food sustainability. This will be the theme of the sixth edition of the worldwide event series promoted by Italy’s Foreign Ministry, to be held between the 22nd and 28th of November, of which the Academy has been a partner since its first edition.
Alongside its main theme, this initiative will also promote: the Mediterranean diet as a balanced model and gastronomic lifestyle which counteracts food waste; the importance of the links between food and sustainability and between biodiversity and food diversity; the struggle against labelling systems; the protection of products with origin and quality guarantees and the fight against the ‘Italian-Sounding’ phenomenon; regional wine, food and vine-growing traditions; and educational opportunities in collaboration with cooking and hotel academies. The Academy’s Delegations will be eager to explore this broad and timely range of topics with in-person and online events.
