Italian food and wine culture is a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage candidate


The Italian Academy of Cuisine, in the person of President Paolo Petroni, is a member of the Research Committee created to pursue the candidacy of Italian food culture for UNESCO intangible cultural heritage status.
With support from the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Central Institute for Intangible Heritage, this candidacy will focus on Italian culinary biodiversity so as to include the wealth of products all along the food chain which represent and characterise our cuisine.
