New York meets Viareggio

For the second Quarantine Cuisine event, the New York Delegation, led by Roberta Marini de Plano, paid homage to the Viareggio Carnival with a ‘Masked Dinner’, in which participating Academicians received a box with masks and a complete menu created by chef Massimo Sola. Diners were treated to a Zoom chat with Viareggio Versilia  Delegate Alberto Petracca and other Academicians from his Delegation, who talked about the origins of the Viareggio Carnival and other local gastronomic traditions.
Fucsia Nissoli Fitzgerald, a member of the Italian Parliament representing North and Central America, also greeted the meeting’s participants.
