The theme for the VII International Italian Food Week

The Directorate-General for Cultural and Economic Promotion has confirmed the theme for International Italian Food Week, to be held from 14 to 20 November: “Conviviality, sustainability and innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine to keep us healthy and protect the Planet”. Conviviality, pillar of the Academy, but also an Italian cuisine that is healthy and sustainable - for people and Planet - and innovation, based on the centrality of the territory and its products, and on the traditional interrelations and skills that make Italian artisans an example for the world. Other priorities for the forthcoming edition are informative labelling, protected designations, combating the ‘Italian-sounding’ phenomenon, and gastronomic education: all crucial issues for the Academy, which will again significantly contribute to reaching the event’s goals this year.
